P46 <br /> <br />side of 155th Lane N.W. and a South Yakima Court N.W. on the south side of 155th Lane N.W. <br />The Ramsey Police Department has received information from 911 Central Communications that <br />prefacing Yak/ma Court N.W. with a 'north' and 'south' designation is problematic to their <br />system and emergency responders. Consequently, Anoka Central Communications is requesting <br />that the City take the necessary steps to eliminate the 'north' and 'south' preface from Yakima <br />Court N.W. in Highlands at River Park. Changing a street name requires adoption of an <br />ordinance by City Council. City staff recommends approval of the proposed street name <br />changes. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Coolc, Elvig, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Action <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council back to order at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to introduce an <br />ordinance to change North Yakima Court NW to Yakima Court NW and South Yakima Court <br />NW to Yakima Court NW, all in the recorded plats of Highlands at River Park and Highlands at <br />River Park 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Strommen, Pearson, CoOk, <br />Elvig, Kurak, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Approval of a Registered Land Survey for Property Owned by Tom and <br />Pattiann Kurak; Case of Tom and Pattiann Kurak <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak noted that she would be abstaining from the discussion. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that Tom and Pattiann Kurak, owners of <br />approximately 120 acres north and south of Sunwood DHve are preparing to sell a portion of <br />their land to LTR Land Development, Inc. for the Village of Sunfish Lake PUD. The property is <br />registered as Torrens property and Anoka County is requiring the City approval of a Registered <br />Land Survey (RLS) of the parcel before accepting the deed.
