Milt Weichelt, 15407 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, stated that he did not understand what
was happening with the vacation of the easement. He inquired if the easement would be replaced
by something else.

Community Development Director Frolik explained that Wildlife Sanctuary was originally
platted as three rural lots and according to City Code each lot is required to have a standard
drainage and utility easements around the perimeter of the lot. Now that the property has been
platted into 50 plus lots, each of these lots will have the standard drainage and utility easements;
the old easements conflict with the new easements so they have to be vacated.

Jose Alijando, 15641 Potassium Street NW, Ramsey, stated that he was unclear as to what was
happening.

Mayor Garnet replied that he could discuss the issue further with the City Engineer.

Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to close the public
hearing.

Motion carried.
