P22 <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sara Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Principal Planner Patrick Trudgeon <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Principal City Engineer Brian Olson <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:23 p.m. and lead in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MARCH AS MINNESOTA FOOD SHARE MONTH <br /> <br />Ernie Larsen, Anoka County Brotherhood Council, stated that they are approaching all the cities <br />tliey serve asking for a proclamation identifying March as Food Share month. The need in the <br />area continues to increase. Last year they served 5,064 families from the Ramsey, Anoka, Coon <br />Rapids and Andover areas, with 256 of those families being from the City of Ramsey. The <br />donations have been able to keep up with the demand, which is a tribute to the people that live in <br />the community. <br /> <br />City Council/February 25, 2003 <br /> Page 2 of 24 <br /> <br /> <br />
