Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-141 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO MP ASPHALT MAINTENANCE <br />LLC FOR 2026 CRACK SEAL IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #26-09 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey can most cost-effectively maximize the life of the bituminous <br />pavement on public streets by sealing cracks on an annual basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted budget for 2026 includes $650,000.00 for street <br />maintenance contracted services, including to crack seal the bituminous pavement on numerous public <br />street segments in support of the City's Pavement Management Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #26-030, adopted January 27, 2026, the <br />City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized <br />advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #26-066, adopted March 10, 2026, a <br />contract was awarded to MP Asphalt Maintenance of Buffalo, Minnesota, in the amount of $149,478.00 for <br />said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, as of June 23, 2026 $0.00 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to MP Asphalt Maintenance of Buffalo, Minnesota, for improvement project <br />#26-09, 2026 Crack Seal Improvements, in the amount of $143,992.00. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to MP Asphalt Maintenance of Buffalo, <br />Minnesota for Improvement Project #26-09, 2026 Crack Seal Improvements in the amount of <br />$143,992.00. <br />2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to <br />sign the release form for this payment. <br />3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the <br />day of June 23, 2026. <br />4) The City of Ramsey Finance Depai liiient will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />
