MARKET DELIVERY
MODELS FOR
CONSIDERATION
Winter markets can vary significantly in scale, format, duration, and level
of municipal involvement. They may take the form of a small vendor add -on
to an existing event, a medium- or large-scale standalone market, a private or
partner -led event, or a City -led event supported through contracted planning
assistance. The following section is intended to provide broad starting points
for considering those different approaches rather than fully developed event
plans, with each model highlighting general characteristics, considerations, and
potential implications for staffing, facilities, vendor recruitment, infrastructure,
cost, and overall return on investment. To better understand what those
options may look like in practice, a comparable medium -scale market -style
event already held in Ramsey, the Two Rivers Art Fair, is included as a reference
point for the level of planning, coordination, and support that may be required.
14 City of Ramsey / Winter Market Feasibility Study
