PROPOSED ORDIIhrANCE #02- <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY -.. <br />ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH' IS KNOWN AS THE 'ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF 1L4MSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. ' <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.1.1.02 "ACCESSORY USES" OF CI--L4.PTER <br />9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. REPEAL <br /> <br />Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), Subdivision 7: No Accessory building shall be located nearer <br />the front lot line than the principal building on that lot (this provision shall not apply to attached <br />garages that maintain compliance with the front yard setback). <br /> <br />Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), Subdivision 9: The accessory buff'ding shall be attached to <br />and shall be made structurally a part of the principal building if it is within five (5) feet eave to <br />eave of the principal building. <br /> <br />Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), Subdivision 11. When detached accessory buildings are <br />located within ten (1) feet of the side or rear wall of the principal building, they shall comply <br />with all yard requirements applicable to the principal building in that district. A detached <br />accessory building shall comply with the side yard setback requirement of the principal building, <br />or conform to adjacent setbacks, whichever is greater. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), Subdivision 10 shall be renumbered as Subdivision 7 and <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />For lots one (1) acre or greater in size, the detached accessory structure may be located nearer the <br />front property line than the principal structure provided it maintains compliance with the <br />standard front yard structure setback requirement for the respective zoning district. On'lots less <br />than one acre in size, the accessory structure shall be located in the side or rear yard and shall not <br />be located nearer the front property line than the principal structure on that lot. This provision <br />shall not apply to attached garages that maintain compliance with the applicable front yard <br />setback requirement. <br /> <br />79.. <br /> <br /> <br />
