o Without roads we can't get anywhere!!! Figure it out
o Affordable housing
o Help make land affordable and remove barriers that prevent private investment.
o Before building additional homes/townhomes need to look at traffic and how the
existing roads can handle additional traffic. I do believe enough townhomes have
been built in the area.
o The city should help finance water & sewer in old neighborhoods instead of catering
to developers. The town center is a disaster. Coborns will be bankrupt before any
other retail businesses start up. Also Ramsey thinks its great to put 15-20 units per
acre, some of these townhouses, condos driveways are so short you couldn't park a
pickup truck in them without sticking out in the road. They look awful, like a bunch
of cracker boxes. I bet in 5-10 years it will look like ghetto town with no town center
in yet.
o Single family homes
o No more townhomes!! Single family - Let us know where all the pedophiles are!
o With the new Ramsey Town Center coming and looking like Maple Grove shopping,
I would like to see housing start to follow and look like Maple Grove as well. I
would like to see high density housing reduced and build more neighborhoods.
o Maintain and require larger lot sizes. Maintain privacy for homeowners. Why does
Ramsey have to follow every other city to create high density housing. Why can't we
just be "Ramsey"? The larger lot size requirement gives owners their privacy to do
what they want. Who wants a neighbor 10 feet away that can look in your windows,
watch every movement you do in your yard? It gives homeowners more security if
they have the larger lot size. It gives children more room to play without the worry of
getting hit by cars, stepping on the neighbors grass or worrying if they will break a
window with a ball. Give us our space so we can maintain our own lifestyle and
enjoy the birds that come to our feeders and the animals that walk through our
backyards. Why chase all that away? Keep the good life. Do not change us into an
Anoka, Minneapolis or St. Paul. If we want that, we can always move there.
o Affordable senior citizen housing. One level townhomes.
o City does not need affordable housing or rental
o Clean up some houses that have never seen paint.
oWe don't need any more housing or apartments out here any more. Highway 10 will
not accommodate any more cars etc.
o Keeping the current houses where they are and not removing them to make space for
new roads, stores, and low income housing. The low income housing should stay in
the trailer court on Highway 10
o In 1992 we built a house in Woodbury. At that time it was a lot like Ramsey is now.
We actually had a gravel road by our home and cornfields. Now Woodbury has been
built up so much that it is like an Edina and it completely lost its small town feel. We
still have many friends from Woodbury who hate living there because it takes them
10 times longer to get around the city due to all the stoplights and development. We
fear Ramsey is headed in the same direction. This is exactly how the development in
Woodbury began... a few townhomes, a few more shopping centers, etc. We drive
Armstrong Blvd. each and every day numerous times. In the past 4 years traffic has
more than doubled!! We now sit a long time on Armstrong in long lines of traffic

1 1
