• Goal No. 2: Create and protect an interconnected system of athletic areas, parks, trails, and green spaces throughout the city. Specific Performance Focus Points to be addressed during 2007 -2008: • • Open space policies- including, complete Natural Resources Inventory, Update and Adopt Greenways Plan, and Complete and Adopt Master Trail Plan. • Seek out alliances and partnerships with non - profit and governmental agencies to assist in securing funding and other resources that will assist in implementing the final plan. • Work with Ramsey Youth Athletic Association (RYAA) to plan for the necessary athletic fields and facilities that will accommodate the growing community • Seek out alliances and partnerships with non - profit and governmental agencies to assist in securing funding and other resources that will assist in implementing the final plan. Specific Performance Focus Points to be addressed during 2007 -2008: U • Initiate research and create background information to begin the Comp Plan Update. • Integrate the Ramsey3 process into the Comprehensive Plan Update and include the outcomes of Ramsey3 as part of the Comp Plan Update discussion. • Engage citizens in meaningful public dialogue through the creation of citizen focus groups, open houses, and other media mediums. • The Comprehensive Plan Update should pay special attention to several critical issues facing Ramsey, including rural development standards, transportation corridors, and environmental resources • Complete Comprehensive Plan Update by July 2008. _7g—
