JULIE BRAASTAD
County Commissioner
District #2
Anoka County
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Respectful, Innovative, Fiscally Responsible
July 7, 2026
Ramsey City Council
7550 Sunwood Drive NW
Ramsey, MN 55303
Dear Honorable Mayor and Council -members,
I wanted to take a moment to express my strong support for the continued work of
Elevate Hope House in the City of Ramsey.
Over the past ten years, I have witnessed firsthand the life -changing impact that
Elevate Hope House has had on homeless mothers and their children. To date, their
housing projects have been located in my community of Ham Lake, where they have
earned the support of the city and built strong partnerships with local organizations
and volunteers who are committed to helping them succeed.
I have had the opportunity to tour their homes and was especially impressed to see
in person one of the homes being built through the partnership with Spring Lake Park
High School. It is inspiring to see the collaborations that Elevate Hope House has
fostered over the past decade to bring its mission to life.
Beyond providing safe, stable housing, Elevate Hope House is dedicated to helping
each mother build the skills and resources needed to become self-sufficient. Their all -
encompassing approach gives families the opportunity not only to find housing, but to
create lasting stability and a brighter future.
The hard work and dedication demonstrated by everyone involved with Elevate Hope
House is truly second to none.
From a county board perspective, it has also been a pleasure to partner with Elevate
Hope House on various projects by supporting their work through CDBG and
SAHA/LAHA funding. I have seen firsthand their commitment to being good stewards
of these resources and their unwavering focus on serving families in need.
I wholeheartedly support Elevate Hope House and their continued efforts to provide
hope, stability, and opportunity for families in our communities. I encourage you to
support their work and the positive impact they continue to make. Thank you for your
time, I truly appreciate it.
Sincerely,
&-a-a-Vr6=1--1
Julie Braastad
Anoka County Commissioner
JB:jr
Government Center 2100 3rd Avenue, Suite 700 A Anoka, MN 55303-5024 www.anokacountymn.gov
Office: 763-324-4700 A Fax: 763-324-5490
Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
