PACT
/ Charter School
DR. NATHAN A. FLANSBURC
SUPERINTENDENT
763.712.4301
n.flansburg@pactcharter.org
July 1, 2026
To Whom It May Concern,
I am pleased to offer my support for Elevate Hope House and its vision for the Gather community space in Ramsey.
I recently had the opportunity to meet with Melinda McDermott to learn more about the organization's mission and the vision
behind Gather. I came away encouraged by the thoughtful approach Elevate Hope House is taking to create a welcoming
environment that fosters connection, belonging, and positive opportunities for youth and families within our community.
As an educator, I recognize that student success extends beyond the classroom. Strong communities are built when schools,
families, nonprofits, businesses, and local leaders work together to provide young people with safe, supportive places where
they can learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships. The vision for Gather reflects this collaborative spirit.
I believe Gather has the potential to become an important community asset by providing space for students to study,
collaborate, participate in tutoring opportunities, engage in healthy after -school and weekend activities, and develop
leadership through service organizations such as DECA, National Honor Society, and other volunteer initiatives. Equally
important, it offers opportunities for families, parent groups, mentors, and community members to connect in ways that
strengthen relationships and build social capital throughout Ramsey.
What impressed me most was that Gather is envisioned as much more than a coffee shop or meeting place. It represents a
commitment to creating an environment where people feel welcomed, students discover new opportunities, families find
support, and community organizations work together to improve the quality of life for everyone they serve.
Communities thrive when they intentionally invest in places that encourage healthy relationships, civic engagement, and
collaboration. I believe Elevate Hope House's vision aligns well with these values and has the potential to positively impact
youth, families, and the broader Ramsey community for years to come.
While our conversation represents the beginning of what I hope will be an ongoing relationship, I appreciate the
organization's commitment to exploring meaningful partnerships that support students and families. I look forward to seeing
how this vision develops and the positive contributions it can make to our community.
I am grateful for the opportunity to express my support for Elevate Hope House and the Gather initiative. I wish them
continued success as they work to bring this important vision to life.
Sincerely,
Nathan Flansburg
Superintendent
PACT Charter School
7729 -161st Avenue Northwest I Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 I pactcharter.org
