City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby confirmed that is accurate. He stated that this study <br />would look at potential locations for new wells. He stated that once the wells are sited, they would <br />determine whether they could be connected to the plant or whether they would have standalone <br />treatment as proposed for well #1. <br />Motion by Councilmember Specht, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to recommend City <br />Council authorization to solicit Request for Proposals for a Well Siting Study for proposed <br />municipal groundwater wells #9 and #10. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Councilmembers Specht and Olson. Voting No: <br />None. <br />5.04: Receive Updates on Improvement Projects, Studies, and Items of Interest <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby provided an update on current and proposed City, <br />County, and MnDOT improvement projects and studies, and on other items of interest to the <br />Committee. <br />Councilmember Specht left the meeting. <br />Assistant City Engineer Feriancek provided additional information on the Sunwood and <br />Rhinestone concrete repair project. He stated that staff looked at the cost to convert to bituminous, <br />but the upfront cost would be higher, there would be more impact to those in The COR, and the <br />lifespan savings did not seem to support that option. <br />Chairperson Riley agreed that it would not make sense to spend more money up front in an attempt <br />to save money down the road. <br />Councilmember Olson agreed that it would not make sense. <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby stated that he would not be available for the June <br />meeting, and thus far, there are no cases planned. <br />Chairperson Riley commented that if there are no cases, they could cancel the meeting. <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby commented that staff can follow up in the next few <br />weeks as to whether the June meeting will be canceled. <br />5.05: Review Future Topics Calendar <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby commented that staff continues to work through the <br />list of topics. <br />6.
