ORDINANCE #26-15 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 (FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION) <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br />Underlined text is inserted into City Code. <br />Strikethrough text is deleted from City Code. <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Charter of the City of Ramsey, <br />Minnestoa Statute 299F.011, and Minnesota Rules chapter 7511. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 22 (FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION) <br />The following portion of Chapter 22, (Fire Prevention and Protection), is amended as follows: <br />Sec. 22-1. - Fire department. <br />(a) Creation. There is established in the city a fire department consisting of paid on -call staff and <br />full-time staff. <br />(b) Purpose. The fire department shall be established for the purpose of the protection of lives and <br />property within the city from fire and other property or life threatening emergencies. The fire <br />department shall provide fire prevention services in accordance with those general policies <br />established by the council. <br />(Code 1978, § 3.15) <br />Sec. 22-2. - Minnesota State Fire Code adopted by reference. <br />Subject to axy an.idme»to made by the city, the 2007 Minnesota State Fire Code (MSFC) including <br />Appen:rrrz; A, 9, C, D, E, F, G, H and J is adopted by reference as the city fire code. Such code adopts <br />by rcfcrcncc the lntcrnaonal Fr-e Codc (1FC) promulgated by thc International Confcrcncc of Building <br />Offata13 and thc \V rn Fire Chiefs Association. Stats. § 171.62. <br />Sec. 105-23. — Adopted by reference. <br />The Minnesota State Fire Code, as adopted by the State Fire Marshal pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, <br />Section 299F.011, and Minnesota Rules, Chapter 7511, including all amendments, rules, and regulations <br />established, adopted, and published from time to time by the State Fire Marshal, is hereby adopted by <br />reference as the Fire Code of the City of Ramsey. <br />
