The City Council has <br />adopted Resolution #26-179, authorizing the application and the City's participation if funding is <br />awarded. <br />This grant would support additional overtime enforcement focused on impaired driving, speeding, <br />distracted driving, move -over violations, seat belt and child -restraint use, and pedestrian safety. <br />Ramsey Police will pair highly visible enforcement with education through social media and <br />digital billboards to increase awareness and encourage people to make safe choices before getting <br />behind the wheel. <br />Education and prevention are central to this effort, but so is accountability. Drivers who choose to <br />drive impaired or engage in other dangerous behavior put everyone on the road at risk. Ramsey <br />officers will enforce the law fairly and professionally and hold those drivers accountable. <br />Every traffic death or serious injury leaves a lasting impact on families and the community. The <br />goal is simple: prevent crashes and help more people return home safely to their loved ones each <br />night.
