<br />Case # 4 <br /> <br />2007 RAMSEY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR <br />By: Sean M. Sullivan, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Each year at the Ramsey Business Appreciation Day, the City presents a business with the <br />Business of the Year award. There was significant discussion last year about how the Business <br />of the year should be chosen. Staff believes the current criteria below does represent the kind of <br />attributes desired for a Business of the Year candidate. <br /> <br />The EDA has used the following general criteria when considering nominees: <br /> <br />1. Been involved in all aspects of the community. <br />2. Provided for the maintenance or expansion of the commercial/industrial tax base of the <br />community through the development of new business ventures or the retention or expansion <br />of existing business. <br />3. Expanded or retained the employment base of the community. <br />4.
