<br />Observations: <br /> <br />Staff is requesting that the EDA determine what business should be presented with the 2007 <br />Business of the Year award. The EDA may also choose to add businesses to the nominee list. <br />Another thought in the future would be to have a place to drop off nominees at the Business <br />Connection breakfast to help gather some outside input for nominees. Due to the late Business <br />Connection meeting it seems that his might be too late to utilize this year. <br /> <br />The following is a list of businesses that the EDA may want to consider for the 2007 award. Staff <br />will be .prepared to discuss some of the outstanding accomplishments and/or community <br />involvement that may qualify the following businesses for the award. <br /> <br />List of possible nominees: <br /> <br />Zero Zone Refrigeration, Inc. <br />Sauter and Son's Excavating <br />Bank of the West <br />Village Bank <br />Paradise Roasters <br /> <br />Recommendation: . <br /> <br />Based on discussion. <br /> <br />EDA Action: <br /> <br />Motion to award as the 2007 Business ofthe Year, <br />to induct into the Economic Development Hall of Fame, and to purchase a plaque for the <br />recipient from Wendell's. <br /> <br />EDA: 3.08.07 <br /> <br />37 <br />
