<br />Case # 5 <br /> <br />2007 RAMSEY BUSINESS APPRECIATION DAY PLANNING <br />By: Sean M. Sullivan, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />, <br />It is that time of the year to start planning for the Business Appreciation Day event. The event <br />has been held at The Links at Northfork for the past few years and the facilities are large enough <br />to accommodate the 160 plus people in attendance. The City has utilized Rum River Hills as the <br />venue for the Business Appreciation Day in the past but the event has outgrown that venue. In <br />order to have a successful event, Staff needs to take care of a number of items. Items that need <br />to be resolved are: Event Location, Event Caterer, Event Planning and finally the date. This <br />event is very large and the planning and execution of it can become quite time demanding. <br /> <br />Staff was satisfied with the venue and food last year and would support using the Links at . <br />Northfork and Well's Catering again. Staffhas already contacted Northfork and has tentatively <br />reserved August 14, 2007 for the event. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends selecting The Links at N orthfork and Well's Catering to be the chosen venue <br />and caterer for the Business Appreciation Day Event. Staff also recommends selecting August <br />14, 2007 as the date for the 2007 Business Appreciation Day and to remit the required deposit <br />($250.00) for the event. <br /> <br />EDA Action: <br /> <br />Motion to select The Links at Northfork as the location for the Business Appreciation Day and to <br />remit the deposit payment of $250.00. <br /> <br />And <br /> <br />Motion to select August 14, 2007 as the Business Appreciation Day date. <br /> <br />And <br /> <br />Motion to select Wells Catering as caterer for the Business Appreciation Day. <br /> <br />EDA: 3.08.07 <br /> <br />38 <br />
