FC CASE <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO EXPAND OFFICE AREA <br />AT PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br /> By: Dean Kapler, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />With the addition of the position of Director of Public Works, came the realization that <br />the current office area at the Public Works facility is undersized. Currently there is one <br />separate office area and a combination lunchroom/break area. The entire Public Works <br />staff brainstormed the issue and decided the best alternative was to expand out into the <br />shop area. The expansion will allow for a separate lunch area and work area. The <br />expansion would also include a second floor area that could be utilized as another small <br />office and changing area. <br /> <br />Five contractors were asked to submit estimates for the work to be done. Of the five, <br />only two submitted quotes. Of those two quotes, Rosky Construction presented the lower <br />bid of $8,357. <br /> <br />Staff is requesting authorization to hire Rosky Construction for the work to be done at the <br />Public Works Facility.
