Absent: None. <br />Chairperson Gengler closed the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. <br />Commission Business <br />Commissioners Lubarski and Allshouse stated that they prefer the percentage of the lot size <br />method rather than the 100 square feet. <br />Commissioner Bauer stated that they are not limiting the size to 100 square feet, but specifying <br />that if the area exceeds that size, a management plan would be required. <br />Commissioner Allshouse stated that ten by ten is not very large and would prefer to use ten percent. <br />Commissioner Bauer reiterated that a lot could have a larger size but would require a management <br />plan to ensure there is a tool for enforcement if the area becomes a nuisance. <br />Senior Planner Anderson stated that the minimum lot area within the MUSA is 10,000 square feet, <br />and ten percent would allow 1,000 square feet without a management plan. <br />Commissioner Allshouse commented that would be a large size. <br />Councilmember Olson stated that he also believes that the smaller exempt area should not be <br />expanded.
