Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br />RESOLUTION #26-181
<br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO DOUGLAS-KERR UNDERGROUND, LLC.
<br />FOR FOX RIDGE ESTATES 1ST & 2''' STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT
<br />PROJECT #24-13
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Fox Ridge Estates
<br />1st & 2' subdivision as identified within the 2024 — 2033 10-Year Capital Improvement Program; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-130, adopted June 13, 2023, the
<br />City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for topographic survey of the
<br />project area; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-129, adopted June 27, 2023, the
<br />City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Independent Testing Technologies, Inc. for geotechnical
<br />evaluations of the project area; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-253, adopted October 10, 2023, the
<br />City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Hydro-Klean, LLC, for cleaning and televising of storm
<br />sewer pipes within the project area; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-126, adopted May 14, 2024, the
<br />City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for Fox Ridge Estates 1st & 2nd
<br />Street Reconstruction, Improvement Project #24-13; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-296, adopted November 12, 2024,
<br />the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized
<br />advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br />WHEREAS, proposals were received for Construction Staking and As -built Survey of $52,844.00
<br />from Bolton & Menk, Inc. for said improvements; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-018, adopted January 28, 2025, a
<br />contract was awarded to Douglas -Kerr Underground, LLC of Mora, Minnesota, in the amount of
<br />$2,099,737.06 for said improvements, and
<br />WHEREAS, as of August 25, 2026 $2,120,986.51 has been paid to date; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br />recommends final payment to Douglas -Kerr Underground, LLC of Mora, Minnesota, for improvement
<br />project #24-13 Fox Ridge Estates 1st & 2nd Street Reconstructions, in the amount of $21,424.11.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Douglas -Kerr Underground, LLC of Mora,
<br />Minnesota for Improvement Project #24-13, Fox Ridge Estates 1st & 2nd Street Reconstructions in
<br />the amount of $21,424.11.
<br />2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to
<br />sign the release form for this payment.
