He <br />asked the Commission to approve it based upon limited information. <br />Chairperson Johns noted it sounds worthwhile and would be great to have it in time for the expo <br />provided it meets the standard. <br />Commissioner Rolfe stated he thought it was a good resource for the community and thought it <br />was good idea and they could send some to nursery and by using the grant, they would not need <br />to charge for the book and they could recoup the cost of printing. <br />Commissioner Lehman indicated this is a book that would be used for many years. <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained this information could also be available on the City <br />web site. <br />Commissioner Olds stated the money used on this potentially would be recouped one hundred <br />fold. <br />Chairperson Johns asked for clarification if they were looking for funding for just the <br />Environmental Expo. <br />Commissioner Rolfe explained they were looking for money to have a printing run of about a <br />thousand books. <br />Chairperson Johns stated when new people move in; they would either have a book in their <br />recycle bin or a flyer on where they could find the information on the internet. <br />Motion by Commissioner Olds, seconded by Commissioner Shryock to approve matching the <br />printing of the books not to exceed $1,400.00 <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Olds, Shryock, Lehman, and <br />Rolfe. Voting No: None. Absent: LaMere, Ostrum. <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br />Note: Update on the Master Trail Plan <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated they are making some progress on the Master Trail Plan. <br />Commissioner Shryock asked what the experience level is of the person actually writing this. <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated he thought the person he is now working with is very <br />qualified and a senior member of the consulting team.
