Commissioner Olds wondered if any of the previous work done on this will be used. Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated there was not much done on this before. He noted the concept plans they received from private developers can be looked at and factored in however. He felt they were in a better position now to begin planning this than they were years ago. He stated they may not need to use the entire $30,000. Motion by Commissioner Olds, seconded by Commissioner Hansen, to recommend to the City Council approval of the 2007 CIP project to receive proposals for the park planning project. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Olds, Hansen, Barr, LaMere, and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: Erickson. COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT • Housing Survey Results Civil Engineer II Linton reviewed the housing survey results with the Commission. Commissioner Olds thought these were very interesting results. Chairperson Johns stated she liked that staff included the input for their review. • Summer meeting dates and times for meetings Chairperson Johns thought they should include Elmcrest Park as a meeting place this year along with Central Park to see the new building. May — Sunfish Park June — City Council invitation for a joint meeting unless they tour skate parks — possibly Central Park July — Titterud to review the playground project August — Elmcrest Park September — Fox Park to review the boardwalk • Environmental Expo Commissioner Olds stated there are a number of conflicts occurring this year. The school has chosen not to participate and there is another large event going on at the same time. They are discussing redefining the expo for next year and not doing it this year. • Environmental Policy Board Commissioner Olds noted the board will be inviting people to speak at public meetings.
