Commissioner Olds wondered if any of the previous work done on this will be used. <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated there was not much done on this before. He noted the <br />concept plans they received from private developers can be looked at and factored in however. <br />He felt they were in a better position now to begin planning this than they were years ago. He <br />stated they may not need to use the entire $30,000. <br />Motion by Commissioner Olds, seconded by Commissioner Hansen, to recommend to the City <br />Council approval of the 2007 CIP project to receive proposals for the park planning project. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Olds, Hansen, Barr, LaMere, <br />and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: Erickson. <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br />• Housing Survey Results <br />Civil Engineer II Linton reviewed the housing survey results with the Commission. <br />Commissioner Olds thought these were very interesting results. <br />Chairperson Johns stated she liked that staff included the input for their review. <br />• Summer meeting dates and times for meetings <br />Chairperson Johns thought they should include Elmcrest Park as a meeting place this year along <br />with Central Park to see the new building. <br />May — Sunfish Park <br />June — City Council invitation for a joint meeting unless they tour skate parks — possibly Central <br />Park <br />July — Titterud to review the playground project <br />August — Elmcrest Park <br />September — Fox Park to review the boardwalk <br />• Environmental Expo <br />Commissioner Olds stated there are a number of conflicts occurring this year. The school has <br />chosen not to participate and there is another large event going on at the same time. They are <br />discussing redefining the expo for next year and not doing it this year. <br />• Environmental Policy Board <br />Commissioner Olds noted the board will be inviting people to speak at public meetings.
