<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> <br /> <br />Topic Report: Discussion with the Waters <br />Consulting Group Regarding the Position <br />Profile for the City Administrator Position <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources <br />Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Andrea Sims of the Waters Consulting Group will be in attendance at the City Council's <br />work session on March 13, 2007 to gather the information necessary to create the <br />position profile for the city administrator position. The position profile showcases the <br />community and describes the desired characteristics, skills and qualifications of the new <br />city administrator. Prior to attending the work session, Ms. Sims will have met with <br />board and commission chairs and vice chairs and department heads and the city attorney <br />to gather information for the position profile. Ms. Sims will provide a summary report to <br />the City Council on her meetings with board and commission representatives and <br />department heads. <br /> <br />The questions that Ms. Sims will use to guide her discussion with the City Council are <br />attached for your review. <br /> <br />At the work session, staff will provide information regarding the salary scale and benefits <br />package that are currently in place for the city administrator position, as well as any <br />recommendations for changes. <br /> <br />Action Statement: <br /> <br />Based upon discussion. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />CCWS: <br /> <br />03/13/07 <br />
