<br />Questions for the City Council <br />RE: City Administrator Position Profile <br /> <br />I. Please give a brief history of your background and service with the City and explain how <br />you view your role in relation to that of the city administrator. <br /> <br />2. Describe the culture of Ramsey and what you perceive to be its unique characteristics. <br /> <br />3. In your evaluation, what is the community's perception of the role of the city <br />administrator? <br /> <br />4. How would you describe the overall past performance (successes and failures) of the <br />former city administrator? <br /> <br />5. In your estimation, what are the three greatest strengths and the three greatest weaknesses <br />of the former city administrator? <br /> <br />6. Identify what you (personally) consider to be the top five to seven priority items, both <br />within the City and in the region, that will be facing the new city administrator in his/her <br />first year of employment. (Be as specific as possible with quantifiable information). <br /> <br />7. What new programs would you like to see implemented that are currently not part of the <br />City's goals and objectives? (e.g., operations, personnel development, technological <br />improvements, training, etc.) <br /> <br />8. What type of management style/approach will enable a new city administrator to function <br />effectively within the City? <br /> <br />9. Please describe the experience and/or technical qualifications that a new city <br />administrator should possess (e.g., educational levels desired, size of agency worked for, <br />years of experience, area(s) of expertise, geographic location). <br /> <br />10. List any organizations or agencies you perceive as being similar to the city <br />administrator's office that would serve as good role models. Also, please list any <br />potential candidates who would be a good match for the city administrator position. <br /> <br />11.
