<br />~ <br /> <br />Community News <br /> <br />District #11 <br />Ramsey School <br />Readiness <br />Preschool Openings <br /> <br />Are you a parent who is new to the <br />Ramsey area with a preschooler who is eager to <br />start preschool in the fall? The Anoka-Hennepin <br />School Readiness Preschool Program is holding <br />registration in March for the 2007-2008 school <br />year. The Ramsey School Readiness Preschool <br />is located at the Rum River Plaza shopping mall, <br />5906 167 Avenue N.W. Preschool classes are <br />held two or three days a week with a choice of <br />morning or afternoon sessions. The preschool <br />year runs from September through May. <br />School Readiness Preschool classes offer <br />hands-on learning experiences that are educa- <br />tional and fun. The daily schedule includes large <br />and small group activities, focused small group <br />lessons, snack time and choice time at learning <br />centers. The goal is to prepare children for kin- <br />dergarten and to become enthusiastic learners. <br />Children must be at least three years old, <br />on or before September 1, 2007. Parents provide <br />transportation to preschool. Fee assistance is <br />available based on family size and income. For <br />more information call 763-506-2480. <br /> <br />AALA Summer 2007 Youth <br />Boys and Girls Registration <br /> <br />Registration will be held for 2007 summer youth lacrosse <br />on the following dates and times: <br /> <br />Tuesday, April 10, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, YMCA in Andover <br />Wednesday, April 11, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Blaine High School <br />Thursday, April 12, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Anoka Ice Arena <br /> <br /> <br />Teams are forming for boys in grades 3 - 8 and girls <br />in grades 5 - 8. For more information, please contact Margie <br />Hawkins, AALA Registrar at 763-427-9973. <br /> <br />Free Dollars <br />Into Sense classes <br /> <br />Anoka County Extension Service Staff and Dollar Works <br />Volunteers will present Free Dollars Into Sense classes on March <br />20 and April 17 at 10:00 am at the Bunker Hills Activities Center <br />(550 Bunker Lake Blvd, Andover) and again at 7:00 pm at the <br />Northtown Library (711 County Rd 10 NE, Blaine). To regis- <br />ter, call the University of Minnesota Extension Service, Anoka <br />County, at 763-755-1280 at least three days prior to the class you <br />wish to attend.
