I Cit;y of Ramsey Natural HeSOlJf'CeS Inventory The boundaries of existing land cover polygons will be updated to reflect changes in land cover noted during the field assessment. Based on an initial review, most of the existing Iinework appears to meet the DNR standards of 30' horizontal accuracy, and no refinement of the Jinework is anticipated. A review of the initial MLCCS also suggests that only limited polygon modification will be needed to capture changes in land cover that have occurred since the original MLCCS work was completed. Based on this, we anticipate that perhaps up to 20 percent of the originallinework will be modified. Collecting and recording information for MLCCS modifiers will be an important aspect of this project. MLCCS modifier codes are a powerful tool allowing detailed additional information about a site to be stored in a GIS database. This information can be quickly and easily retrieved by users and is very useful for understanding levels of nonnative species, quality of natural areas, locating restorable wetlands, location of unique landforms, as well as enabling analysis of multiple data layers/parameters.
