Conduct Surface Water Assessment (omitted by request,) <br /> <br />. Task 5. Prepare DraftNRII A Report1 Present to Environmental Policy Board, and Review <br />Existing City Zoning Regulations <br />AES will summarize and expand upon the fIndings of previous tasks by preparing a draft NRI/ A . <br />report, This draft report will provide the following information: <br /> <br />. A description of the City of Ramsey in terms of its glacial history, so*, pre-European <br />setdement vegetation (including public land survey trees), and land use history. <br />. A map and summary of the City of Ramsey's existing land cover and natural resources, <br />including uplands, wedands, and surface waters. <br />. A map and description of the City's major resources as well as its most unique, significant, <br />sensitive, and rare (endangered, threatened and/or special concern) resources and <br />landscape features, noting indicator species where possible. <br />. A discussion of the City's existing wildlife and wildlife habitat. <br />. A summary of the City's existing parks, open space, and trail system. <br />. A description of potential threats and issues associated with the City's natural resources <br />(including threats to unique plant communities). <br />. A discussion and map(s) illustrating the City's existing surface water management system, <br />. A map and discussion of priority ecological projects within the City, including areas <br />recommended for protection (potentially through acquisition, alternative development <br />standards, conservation easements, land banking, etc.), restoration, and enhancement. <br />. A map and discussion of potential multifunctional greenway connections/corridors. <br />. Recommendations regarding periodic updating the NRI/A, including a recommended <br />schedule and estimated cost for such updates. <br /> <br />As requested by the City, AES will present the draft report to the City's Environmental Policy <br />Board. AES will provide ten hard copies of the draft report (including draft maps) to the City of <br />Ramsey for review and comment. Also as requested by the City, AES will conduct a review of <br />existing city zoning regulations (including your new tree preservation ordinance and wedand <br />buffer ordinance) and provide written recommendations on how they may be updated to further <br />incorporate natural resources into the planning process. <br /> <br />Schedule: <br />Estimated Cost: <br /> <br />Draft NRI/ A report & maps (10 hard copies), presentation to EPB, and <br />written recommendations regarding zoning regulations <br />August 17, 2007 <br />$9,355 <br /> <br />Product: <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Proposal- City of Ramsey NRI <br />
