Mr. Norman's resignation is effective
December 31, 2006.
On November 14,2006, the Ramsey City Council established
a Transition Team to evaluate the needs of the city given Mr. Norman's
resignation. The Transition Team, made up of three City Council Members
(Olson, Strommen and Elvig), has presented its first set of recommendations
to the City Council.
At the December 12, 2006 City Council meeting, Assistant City
Administrator Heidi Nelson was appointed Interim City Administrator effec-
tive January 1,2007, as recommended by the Transition Team. Ms. Nelson
has served the city well over the last five years and the City Council has the
utmost confidence in her ability to lead the city during this important time.
It is the belief of the City Council that Ramsey is well positioned to
attract superior quality candidates for the city administrator position. There-
fore, the City Council also accepted the recommendation of the Transition
Team to hire an executive search firm to conduct a national search for a
new city administrator. It is the City Council's hope and intention that once
a search firm is selected a new city administrator will be on board within
seven months.
Any questions regarding the search process for a new city admin-
istrator may be directed to the city's Human Resources Manager, Givonna
Reed Kone, at 763-433-9821.

No Parking
on Public Streets

Parking is not allowed on any public street between the hours of
2:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. year-round. Vehicles in violation will be cited and
may be towed.

Christmas Tree Disposal Options

Anoka Ramsey Farm & Garden, located at 7435 Highway 10 NW, will again be accepting Christmas trees, free
of charge, (no flocl(ed trees, wreaths, or trees containing wire or stands) from Ramsey residents throughout the month of
January. Their business hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sundays 10:00
am to 4:00 pm.
