Councilmember. . introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING A PUBLIC SAFETY BOARD MEMBER <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Joe Riddle elected not to reapply for appointment to the Public <br />Safety Board; and <br />WHEREAS, and appointment was not made to the Public Safety Board as a <br />result of interviews conducted on January 18, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Safety Board vacancy was advertised on the City's <br />website and on the local cable channel and two applications were received; and <br />WHEREAS, two applicants were interviewed for the Public Safety Board <br />vacancy on March 27, 2007. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey: <br />Accepts the recommendation of the Interview Panel for the Public Safety Board to <br />appoint to a term on the Public Safety Board to <br />expire December 31, 2010. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 27 day of March 2007. <br />G:\ Administration\ HumanResources \Commissions\Public Safety Board\2007\staff report 3- 27- 07.doc <br />-140- <br />
