Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer the <br />Front Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of Richard Mitchell <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained the site is inundated with mature tree growth and would <br />require a substantial loss of trees if the accessory structure was constructed in the side or rear <br />yard. <br /> <br />Board Member Anderson inquired if the proposed accessory structure was in addition to the <br />existing garage. Zoning Administrator Frolik stated it was in addition to the existing garage and <br />was within the regulations for total garage space allowed on the property. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Bawden, seconded by Board Member Anderson, to adopt Resolution <br />#98-06-106 adopting Findings of Fact #0457 in the affirmative relating to Richard Mitchell's <br />request for a variance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Anderson, Jensen, <br />and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members LaDue and Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Bawden, seconded by Board Member Anderson, to approve the <br />request for a variance from Richard Mitchell to construct an accessory structure nearer the front <br />property line than the principal structure on the property known as 6415 - 172nd Lane NW, and <br />adopt Resolution #98-06-107 declaring terms of the variance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Anderson, Jensen, <br />and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members LaDue and Terry. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer the <br />Front Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of William <br />Hellerstedt <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated the house is 84 feet from the front property line and the <br />proposed garage would be 47 feet from the property line. She indicated there is an on-site septic <br />system. <br /> <br />Mr. Hellerstedt stated the proposed garage would be 54 feet from the property line, not 47 feet. <br />Zoning Administrator confirmed the distance would be 54 feet. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Jensen, seconded by Board Member Bawden, to adopt Resolution <br />#98-06-108, adopting the Findings of Fact #0458 in the affirmative relating to William <br />Hellerstedt's request for a variance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Jensen, Bawden, Anderson, <br />and Wivoda. Voting No: None.
