Board Member Anderson asked when the two lots were cut out of PIN 08-32-25-11-0014 and <br />subdivided. Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that it may have been done prior to the time City <br />approval was required. She stated the property cannot be subdivided further without coming <br />before the Planning Commission and Council for approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Bawden, seconded by Board Member Anderson, to adopt Resolution <br />#98-07-142 adopting Findings of Fact #0461 in the affirmative relating to Jerry and Janice <br />Melberg's request for a variance from the street frontage or lot width requirement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Anderson, LaDue, <br />Terry, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Jensen. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Bawden, seconded by Board Member Anderson, to approve Jerry and <br />Janice Melberg's request for a variance from the street frontage or lot width requirement based on <br />Findings of Fact #0461 and adopt Resolution #98-07-143 declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Zoning Administrator Frolik stated the Fire Chief recommended a Class 5 <br />driveway to support emergency vehicles, and maintenance of vegetation be reflected in the <br />variance. <br /> <br />Amendment by Board Member LaDue, seconded by Board Member Bawden, to add Condition <br />#8: The Permittees shall be responsible to maintain trees and vegetation along the driveway and <br />the surface shall be at least Class 5. <br /> <br />Amendment carried. Zoning Administrator <br />Frolik explained the Melbergs moved out of state and, in order to get value back from the <br />property, they need to gain reasonable use of the property. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member LaDue, seconded by Board Member Anderson, to amend Findings of <br />Fact #12 through #19 in the affirmative relating to Jerry and Janice Melberg's request for a <br />variance from the street frontage or lot width requirement. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
