Commissioner Johns concurred and suggested having a pictorial article at the Environmental Expo. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum asked who would be responsible for preparing this article. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated he is unsure of the deadline but he will check on it and present a draft article at the <br />February meeting. <br /> <br />Chair Cook suggested that project updates also be included. <br /> <br />Commissioner Droegemueller asked if a Park Commissioner will write the article or if it will be <br />handled by City Staff. He also asked how feedback will be handled. Mr. Boos stated he would be <br />happy to prepare these article but would welcome assistance from the Commissioners as well. He <br />stated it would be helpful to have a topic outline for future articles. <br /> <br />Chair Cook suggested that Commissioners write any article of interest they have which can be <br />reviewed during the meeting and submitted to staff for pictures, editing, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated an outline will work out well and can include the meeting location schedule of the <br />Commission's outdoor meetings at various parks and 1998 projected activities. <br /> <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Rolfe asked what the Commission's Expo booth will contain. Commissioner Johns <br />suggested a three-ring book be on display that contains pictures of the parks and description of <br />equipment. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated the Expo meetings are still occurring and a "brag book" as suggested by <br />Commissioner Johns could also contain the Decisions Resource Survey, Inc. results to advise of <br />issues residents supported and those they did not support. <br /> <br />Chair Cook suggested the Expo booth also have a trail map that includes pictures of points of <br />interest, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos suggested a workshop be scheduled after the February meeting to discuss this in more <br />detail and to arrive at a work plan. The Park and Recreation Commission concurred. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos noted the Radamacher development agreement which was distributed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Rolfe asked staffto obtain a legal opinion on the possibility of auctioning the unwanted <br />Peltzer Park playground structures or selling via a sealed bid. He also inquired whether a release of <br />liability is an option.
