. Strengthen Enforcement of Signs
o Why-Currently, the City's enforcement section of Code is unclear and
City Staff is unable to apply the established enforcement procedures.
o Clearer enforcement procedures are necessary, outlining the actions the
City will take. It may be possible to incorporate the proposed
administrative hearing process.

. Ideas for Specific Changes in Regulation

o Residential~
. All signs in residentially zoned areas are exempt from permitting.
This covers our previous regulation of real estates signs, home
occupation signs, political signs, garage sale signs, directional,
instructional, nameplates, and address signs, but Will now allow
business advertising, as long as it conforms to the regulations.
Apply specific size, type, and number for signs in residential areas.
. All signs in residentially zoned areas must follow the regulation
put forth in the proposed changes, but no pennit would be
required. This should cover all signs that are currently regulated.

o Commercial-
. Temporary Signs.are limited to 50 square feet
. Define reader boards, digital billboards, and LED lighted signs,
and provides regulation for those signs.
