2) Agricultural Land and Tax Rates <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec stated that thc City of Ramsey has had some very large increases of houses in the <br /> area that have changed from agriculture to rural residential. These people are getting taxed at a <br /> rate as if they could develop their land, but because of Metropolitan Council's four in forty <br /> zoning, they cannot. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Haas Steffen stated there is some legislation that can be looked at and suggested <br /> that Anoka County Commissioner Dennis Berg be contacted regarding this issue. <br /> <br /> 3) Sidewalks <br /> <br /> Councilmember Haas Steffen noted that from time to time, sidewalks have been discussed. She <br /> suggested Council should be talking and/or planning with the citizens about this. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adjourn the <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion carried.
