COUNCIL BUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #1: Vacate a Portion of McKinley Street Right-of-Way; Case of City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:22 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />The eastern terminus of McKinley Street is platted as a cul-de-sac. Continued development of <br />Business Park 95 by the City of Ramsey requires extending Radium Street north off of <br />McKinley. That extension will occur at the location of the cul-de-sac bulb and, therefore, a <br />vacation of that bulb right-of-way is required. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing adjourned at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular portion of the City Council back to order at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to introduce <br />the ordinance to vacate the McKinley Street cul-de-sac bulb. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Consider Traffic Calming for 149th Avenue Area <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski reported that staff was directed to prepare some alternatives for traffic <br />calming for the 150th Lane/Uranimite Street/149th Avenue corridor. He has been conferdng <br />with the Director of Public Works on this issue and they have come up with four alternatives.
