Road and Bridge Committee - it just seems like Road and Bridge is an incorrect name - <br /> that can be done by ordinance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen suggested that the Public Safety Committee would seem <br />lopsided with three representatives from the Fire Department and one from the Police <br />Department. She felt there should be more from the Police also. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler agreed it should be equal representation and suggested knocking the <br />three down to two or one and get the same amount of representation from the Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec felt that at least one of the members should be from the Ramsey Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />A question was asked if we have one person from an outside police department, should <br />there be a member from an outside fire department also. <br /> <br />//9: City of Ramsey vs Thomas and PattiAnn Kurak et. al. Street Right-of-Way <br />Condemnation Lawsuit (Closed to the Public) <br /> <br />This issue will be discussed at a later date. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Interviews - Finance Officer <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith stated that City Council has to interview <br />finalists for the Finance Officer position and she needed to know when Council was <br />available to do that. She announced that Councilmember Beyer can be here on Monday <br />or Tuesday. <br /> <br />2) Survey <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen suggested the Chamber of Commerce should be called. A <br />lot of the survey questions were about County concerns. They should educate people <br />about this. This is more than a City problem. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman added that it's also our responsibility. <br /> <br />3) Ramsey Brochure <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec mentioned the need for a brochure about Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman thought that would be a good project for the Economic Development <br />Commission. <br /> <br /> Council Work Session/June 2, 1998 <br /> Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
