COUNCIL BUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Improvement Project #98-16 Bituminous Paving of Bison Street from 171st <br />Avenue to a Point 1,000 Feet South <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:15 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />A petition was received on May 19, 1998, which was signed by five of the six benefited property <br />owners regarding a public improvement project for the paving of Bison Street, south of 171st <br />Avenue to a point 1,000 feet to the south. Currently, the street terminates as a dead-end street <br />with a dirt cul-de-sac bulb. The petition specifically requested that the street be paved and remain <br />with cul-de-sac configuration. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to dose the public <br />heating. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas Steffen, and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing adjourned at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:15 p,m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised that six property owners are involved and five have signed the <br />petition for the project. The feasibility study has been prepared under the non-unanimous type of <br />schedule. If the sixth resident signs the petition, the schedule could be moved up. Otherwise, the <br />Council cannot take action for 60 days. Mr. Jankowski advised that all residents proposed to be <br />assessed received notice. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich recommended the feasibility report be presented. <br /> <br />City Council/July 14, 1998 <br /> Page 6 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
