Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Consider Ratification for Repair of Fire Tanker Pump <br /> <br />Fire ChiefKapler stated that this case has to do with the repair of Tanker #1. There were <br />three options presented and the Finance Committee recommended repairing the existing <br />body flap valve slots and test for an approximate cost of $7,500. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize <br />the repair of the body flap valve slots for fire tanker pump from Fire Tanker No. 1. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas <br />Steffen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Request for Approval to Solicit Appraisals for Land for Future Fire Station <br /> <br />Mr. Kapler stated that the Finance Committee is recommending Council authorize staff to <br />solicit appraisals for three properties that could be used for the second fire station. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to <br />authorize staff to solicit appraisals for the three properties at a cost not to exceed $3,500. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, <br />Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case IOA: Minor Amendments to Building Fasteners Agreement <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the agreement for Building Fasteners was approved <br />earlier. He presented a map showing the lot and the projected Jaspar Street. He noted <br />that a meeting was held with Building Fasteners and the developer is requesting to not be <br />assessed if the City does improve Jaspar Street. The City has an agreement with Anoka <br />Electric Cooperative whereby we will pay them $.65 a square foot. The total amount <br />equates to $94,000. The City would execute a revenue note so when the increment comes <br />in the note would be reimbursed. The developer of' Building Fasteners is asking for the <br />opportunity to receive any excess increment received from that (phase 2) prior to the year <br />2005, if they do an expansion.
