Case #10: Report from Finance Committee Finance Officer Lund stated that the Finance Committee met earlier this evening and discussed five cases. 1) Adopt Resolution Approving Proposed Maximum 1999 Payable Tax Levy Ms. Lund reported that the City received a revised levy limit from the State and presented a resolution reflecting the maximum levy. Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution #98-09-238 approving the proposed maximum 1998, payable 1999, tax levy and schedule budget public hearing dates. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. 2) Review and Adopt "Proposed" 1999 General Fund Budget Ms. Lund explained that the proposed 1999 General Fund Budget is based on the collection of tax dollars at the level certified by the State under the imposed levy limits. Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution #98-09-239 adopting the "proposed" 1999 City of Ramsey General Fund Operating Budget. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. 3) Approve First Phase Completion Budget for Alpine Park Ms. Lund stated that the Finance Committee has recommended funding be allowed for the first phase of Alpine Park. Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve Alpine Park's first phase completion budget and direct staff to transfer $33,250 in Alpine Estates Park Dedication proceeds from the park trust fund as well as $4,500 from the Park City Council/September 22, 1998 Page 16 of 19
