Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: Councilmember Haas Steffen - because she was not certain a <br />supervisory position is necessary. <br /> <br />Case #10: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that the Finance Committee met earlier this evening and <br />discussed five cases. <br /> <br />1) Adopt Resolution Approving Proposed Maximum 1999 Payable Tax Levy <br /> <br />Ms. Lund reported that the City received a revised levy limit from the State and presented <br />a resolution reflecting the maximum levy. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #98-09-238 approving the proposed maximum 1998, payable 1999, tax levy <br />and schedule budget public hearing dates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, <br />Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Review and Adopt "Proposed" 1999 General Fund Budget <br /> <br />Ms. Lund explained that the proposed 1999 General Fund Budget is based on the <br />collection of tax dollars at the level certified by the State under the imposed levy limits. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #98-09-239 adopting the "proposed" 1999 City of Ramsey General Fund <br />Operating Budget. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, <br />Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Approve First Phase Completion Budget for Alpine Park <br /> <br />Ms. Lund stated that the Finance Committee has recommended funding be allowed for <br />the first phase of Alpine Park. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve <br />Alpine Park's first phase completion budget and direct staff to transfer $33,250 in Alpine <br />Estates Park Dedication proceeds from the park trust fund as well as $4,500 from the Park <br /> <br />City Council/September 22, 1998 <br /> Page 16 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
