COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for an Interim Use Permit for a Temporary Office Structure; <br />Case of Transwest, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that on July 24, 1997, the City issued an interim use <br />permit to Transwest, Inc. (a.k.a. Communicor) at 6100 Industry Avenue NW for the <br />utilization of a 720 square foot modular office on the property for a one-year period. She <br />explained that the permit expired on August 1, 1998, and the applicants have requested <br />permission to use the temporary office structure for one more year to complete their <br />assessment of space needs for expansion or relocation. Ms. Frolik reported that City <br />Code requires a new public hearing and re-issuance of a permit upon expiration of the <br />original permit. She noted previously granted permits for the use of temporary office <br />structures for two or more years. The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing <br />and no written or verbal comments were received. The Planning Commission is <br />recommending approval for another 12-month period. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #98-10-254 adopting Findings of Fact #0474 relating to a request fi:om <br />Transwest, Inc. for an interim use permit for the utilization of a temporary office <br />structure. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, <br />Beahen and Haas Steffen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #98-10-255 approving the issuance of an interim use permit for a temporary <br />office structure and declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas <br />Steffen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed the Maximum Single <br />Accessory Structure Size Restrictions; Case of Stephen and Barbara <br />Dvorak <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that on September 9, 1998, the City received an <br />application from Stephen and Barbara Dvorak for a conditional use permit (CLIP) to <br />exceed the maximum single accessory structure size restrictions on their property at 6641 <br />- 157th Avenue NW. The subject property is .9 acres in size and is restricted to a total of <br />1,488 square feet of garage and accessory building space. In addition, there is a 624 <br />square foot size restriction on any single accessory structure. The Dvorak's currently <br />have a 528 square foot attached garage. They are proposing to construct a 936 square <br />foot accessory building in which to store personal items.
