CASE # 8 <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS <br />By: Public Works Staff <br />Background: <br />The Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 and discussed the following 11 <br />cases: <br />Case #1 Summary for 2006 -2007 Snow Removal Season <br />Background: <br />A PowerPoint presentation of the 2006 -2007 snow removal season will be presented at the <br />meeting. <br />Action: <br />No action required. <br />Case #2 Review 2006 -2007 Skating Season <br />Background: <br />This past winter, in addition to the facilities at Central Park and Ramsey Elementary; there was <br />also ice made at Rivers Bend and Bear Parks. Rink Attendants logged 2,571 visitors at Central <br />Park and 2,268 at the School, with the season running from December 22nd, to February 28th. <br />The numbers of users and the amount of days closed due to unfavorable weather were very <br />similar to past years. <br />Action: <br />No action required. <br />Case #3 Consider Termination of Projects 06 -23 and 06- 36,157 Lane and Ramsey <br />Blvd Sewer and Water Extensions <br />Background: <br />Project 06 -23 considered the extension of sanitary sewer and water service toll properties along <br />157 Lane from Ramsey Boulevard to the end of the cul de sac to the east. These improvements <br />also included the associated street and storm water improvements typically found in <br />
