Commission public hearing minutes regarding a request for a conditional use permit to establish <br />accessory outdoor recreational uses to a restaurant and bar; case of Diamonds Sports Bar & Grill, <br />Inc., dated March 12, 1998. <br /> <br />Motion Carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, LaDue, and <br />Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Jensen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner Terry, to approve the Planning <br />Commission special meeting minutes dated March 12, 1998. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated page M26 of the meeting packet recommended the City Council <br />grant site plan approval to the site plan proposal for the Diamonds Sports Bar & Grill, Inc., <br />contingent upon an acceptable lighting plan for the recreational area. He requested staff ensure <br />that the lighting plan meets the City ordinance for both the recreational area and the building. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, LaDue, and <br />Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Jensen. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated the second paragraph on Page M44 in the meeting packet contained <br />a typo. He indicated the paragraph should refer to the completion of Sunwood Drive from C.R. <br />#5 to T.H. ~47. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden adjourned the regular meeting at 7:36 p.m. in order to conduct the following <br />public hearings: <br /> <br />1. Consider Ordinance to Amend Critical River Regulations <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the regular meeting back to order at 7:59 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Revised Site Plan Review; Case of Northern Airgas, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated the new plan shows an increase in the office/warehouse <br />building size of 2,000 square feet. The acetylene plant is now shown as a future addition and a <br />separate site plan review process will be required when it is constructed. The warehouse portion <br />in the previous plan was to be 42 feet 6 inches from grade and the applicant received a variance to <br />height restrictions from the Board of Adjustments. The new plan shows the building will not <br />exceed 28 feet and a height variance is no longer required. The accessory building in the new plan <br />is 35.6-percent of the area of the principal building. She indicated staff recommends approval of <br />the slight overage of the accessory building size.
