Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS - Continued <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer adjourned the regular meeting at 8:58 p.m. in order to conduct the <br />following public hearings: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed the Maximum Single Accessory Structure <br />Size Limit; Case of Steve Dvorak <br /> <br />Request for an Interim Use Permit for a Temporary Office Structure; Case of Transwest, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Grade and Export Soils; Case of City of Ramsey <br />and Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer called the regular meeting back to order at 9:06 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS - Continued <br /> <br />Case#2: Request for a Home Occupation Permit to Establish a Dog Grooming <br /> Business in the R-1 Residential District; Case of Julie Kucia <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen inquired if the applicant has a fenced yard. Ms. Kucia stated her yard is not <br />fenced. She indicated dogs present at her home for grooming would be there for short periods of <br />time and would not be taken outdoors for exercise or relieving themselves. She stated almost all <br />dogs brought to her home would be small dogs and on a leash. She explained pet owners would <br />leave the dogs at her home for grooming and return for pick up. She indicated there would be <br />approximately four dogs groomed per day in her home and said the numbers would decrease in <br />winter months. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wivoda, seconded by Commissioner Jensen, to accept Findings of Fact <br />#1 - 10 as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Wivoda, Jensen, <br />Anderson, and LaDue. Voting No: None.
