Discussion ensued regarding the possibility of expanding upon #5 under 'Urban <br />Residential Policies' on page 36 to also give bonuses for preserving environmentally <br />sensitive areas or doing a compatible transition with adjacent large or rural lots. <br /> <br />Consensus was to add a policy statement under 'Urban Residential Policies' siting <br />examples of how open space can be preserved. <br /> <br />The consultant was advised of a typographical error in the 8th line of the first.paragraph <br />on Page 43: 'task for' should be 'task force'. <br /> <br />On Page 44, the consensus was to change the title 'Town Center Policies' to 'Town <br />Center Strategies' in order to imply that the town center task force will have the latitude <br />necessary. <br /> <br />Consensus was to amend Item #5 under 'Places to Shop Policy' on Page 38 to include <br />text for solving traffic problems. <br /> <br />Consensus was to amend the 3rd paragraph under 'Mixed Use' on Page 41 to clarify that <br />traffic patterns with a bridge, wherever it is, will affect the Mixed Use area. <br /> <br />COUNCIL/COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Another workshop meeting to continue review of the draft Comprehensive Plan was <br />scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 1998. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Consensus was to adjourn the special workshop meeting at 10:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />~~inistrator <br /> <br /> <br />
