<br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />1) Parks and Trails <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated he looks forward to the City being able to work with the neighbors <br />regarding the vandalism in Solstice Park. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated park vandalism is taken very seriously. It is a large cost to <br />the community and inhibits the City's abilities to offer park services. Residents are encouraged <br />to pay close attention to what is going on in their neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the trails have had tremendous use in the past few days. He requested <br />information regarding trail sweeping. <br /> <br />. <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood indicated staff tries to balance the weather with the mai1ltenance <br />needs, and April is a difficult time to keep up. The trails will be swept during the wet weather <br />that is anticipated soon. <br /> <br />2) Upcoming Events and Meetings <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen announced the following Ramsey3 events: <br />. Innovative Z011ing Forum: Thursday, March 29th at 7:00 p.m. in the Alexander Ramsey <br />Room of the Municipal Center. <br />. Transportation Alternatives Forum: April 12th <br />· Open Space Technology Public Input Meeting: May 4th & 5th <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced the following upcoming events: <br />. Volunteer Appreciation Dinner: April 16th at Northfork <br />. Crystal Ball Gala to benefit hospital programs: April 14th at the Courtyards of Andover <br />. Highway 47 Open House: April 19th at 5:30 p.m. at Lord of Life Church <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey announced the Anoka Area Chanlber and Anoka Technical College <br />grand opening of the Corporate Center Thursday, March 29th at 7:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson announced an open house is scheduled for Thursday, April 19 from <br />3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Alexander Ramsey Room of the Municipal Center to provide businesses <br />on Sunfish Lake Boulevard an opportunity to offer their input and learn more about the planned <br />design for the road improvements. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey asked if the business owners in the area have been notified of the open <br />house. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson replied the single use commercial businesses will be notified by <br />mail by the County.
