Public Notice Looking For a Way to Invest in Ramsey Youth? For two days in June, 144 second and third grade children from the Anoka - Ramsey area will attend a safety camp with presentations focusing on a variety of safety topics. This camp is made possible through donations pro- vided by local residents and businesses which helps l(eep registration fees to a minimum as well as provide scholarships to at-risl( youth. Donations received are used to hire presenters, provide lunches, graduation awards, and other mis- cellaneous items needed for a successful safety camp. Donation checks can be made out to the City of Ramsey, and mailed to the Ramsey Police Department, Attn: Safety Camp, 7550 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey, MN 55303. Sponsors are listed on camp brochures, the awards pro- gram, the Ramsey City website and any press releases when applicable. The deadline for receiving donations is May 14, 2007. Looking for a Spring project? If you have an interest in helping clean up Ramsey, we have a great program for you! Is your neighbor- hood or business group lool(ing for some way to become involved in the community? Do people want to get to know each other better and have an impact on the envi- ronment in their neighborhood? Why not try Adopt-A-Spot? This program builds civic pride by beautifying our city streets, parks, and trails. Safety is increased and litter is decreased through trash removal and other volunteer beautification efforts. You can choose to "ADOPT" a street, parl(, trail, lot, or hotspot most anywhere, and agree to l(eep the area cleared of litter for at least two years (two clean-ups per year). The City provides trash bags, reflective vests, and gloves to the volunteers and erects a special Adopt-A- Spot recognition sign in your designated area. For more information, please call 763-433-9891. ~ United States Post Office Contract Unit in Ramsey Did you know there is a now a United States Post Office Contract Unit in Ramsey? The new Contract Unit is located in the new Ramsey Town Center at "Just A $1.00." Ser- vices provided in most Post Offices are now available at this new location at 7876 Sunwood Drive NW. Postage stamps and mailing accessories can be purchased with many options available for sending packages including Parcel Post, Prior- ity, and even Overnight. This con- tract unit offers insurance on pack- ages, delivery confirmation, certified mail and return receipt. International mailing of letters and packages is also available. Need a change of ad- dress form? Stop by and the helpful staff will assist you with that as well. Money Orders and hold of mail are not available. There is an outgoing mailbox right outside the store for 24 hour service. "Just a $1.00" now provides mail service 7 days a week. Pick up is at 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday and at noon on Saturday.
