<br />~ <br /> <br />Events <br /> <br />Happy Days 2007 <br />Planning is Underway <br /> <br /> <br />Mark your calendars for September 15,2007 for the annual Happy Days Festival! <br />Happy Days will once again be held in Town Center at the new Ramsey Municipal Center and <br />Parking Facility. This great community tradition continues to build on past success and tradi- <br />tions, and looks forward to growing each year. <br />Happy Days began in 1999 as the city of Ramsey 25th Anniversary Celebration. The <br />event was such a huge success, it was decided to continue this great community tradition, and <br />thus Happy Days was born. The event continues to grow each year, attracting more and more attendees, sponsors, and <br />volunteers. The Happy Days Committee is proud to again be located in Town Center. <br />This year will feature a Car Show, Craft Show, Bingo, Kid's Events, 5k Run/Kid's Fun Run, Parade, and a Street <br />Dance with the Rockin' Hollywoods. This event is free to attend and food vendors will be on site throughout the day. <br />Registration will begin soon for the various events such as the Car Show, Craft Show, and 5K Run/Kids' Fun Run. <br />On Friday, September 14, a Teen Dance will be held at PACT Charter School on Ramsey Boulevard. The Teen <br />Dance is open to children in fifth through eighth grades. Join us in this exciting night for Ramsey youth. <br />The Happy Days Committee is always looking for additional volunteers and support to mal(e this celebration a <br />continued success. The Committee is lool(ing for new and innovative events to add to our already great list of offered <br />events. Looking Toward the Future. <br /> <br />Ramsey Lions <br />Community Picnic <br /> <br />The Ramsey Lions Club will be hosting its an- <br />nual Community Picnic at Central Park on Saturday, June <br />2, starting at noon. Please join us for this free fun family <br />event. For kids under 12 there are free games, a petting <br />zoo and a free hotdog and pop. New this year will be a <br />professional skate board demonstration. The stage will <br />feature entertainment and demonstrations in the afternoon <br />and music in the evening. The Lions Wellness Van will be <br />on site from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, providing free health screen- <br />ing. The Ramsey Police and Fire Departments will have <br />exhibits and demonstrations. Ramsey Lions will be selling <br />pork chops, brats and more. More activities and dem- <br />onstrations to be announced. After <br />a year absence, the annual City of Ramsey Happy Days <br />Photo Contest is returning. The categories are as follows: <br />· Furry and Feathered Friends: Capture a pose <br />that will include wild animals, birds, etc. <br />· Landscapes: Capture the natural beauty, colors, <br />or geologic interest of the city of Ramsey. <br />· Vintage: Pictures of Ramsey circa 1974. <br />Rules, dates, and forms will soon be posted at <br />www.ci.ramsey.mn.us by clicl(ing on the Community <br />Events tab. Entry forms will also be available at the city <br />of Ramsey Municipal Center located at 7550 Sunwood <br />Drive NW, Ramsey.
