<br />Interim City Administrator Nelson indicated also included in the years of service award would be <br />acknowledgement of retirees of the City. The outstanding service portion of this program will be <br />brought forward at a later date. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Finance Committee in Case No.2 and adopt Resolution #07-04-115 <br />approving an employee recognition program - -approving the Years of Service Award portion of <br />the Employee Recognition Program with the addition of retiree acknowledgement, and to direct <br />staff to further define the Outstanding Service Awards portion of the program to be presented to <br />the Personnel Committee for further consideration. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Acting Mayor Elvig commented the gift for the Years of Service Award is <br />very nominal at five dollars. Interim City Administrator Nelson explained the five dollars is per <br />year of service. She clarified the case inCludes allocating the cost of approximately $900 for <br />2007 with the allocation of funds from the Miscellaneous Operating Supplies Fund in the <br />Administrative Services Budget. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Public Works Committee <br /> <br />1) Summary for 2006-2007 Snow Removal Season <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Reimer provided a PowerPoint presentation of the 2006-2007 snow <br />'removal season. <br /> <br />No action required. <br /> <br />2) Review 2006-2007 Skating Season <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson indicated the Committee was provided with a presentation on the <br />2006-2007 skating season. There was also a concept plan presented for the west side of Alpine <br />Park for a roller skating facility that will be brought back to the Council in the future. <br /> <br />No action required. <br /> <br />3) Consider Termination of Projects 06-23 and 06-36, 157th Lane and Ramsey Blvd <br />Sewer and Water Extensions <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson stated project 06-23 considered the extension of sanitary sewer and <br />water service to 17 properties along 157th Lane from Ramsey Boulevard to the end of the cul-de- <br />sac to the east. These improvements also included the associated street and storm water <br />improvements typically found in developments with municipal services. Project 06-36 <br />considered the extension of sanitary sewer and water service to 24 properties adjacent to or near <br />Ramsey Boulevard between 149th Avenue and l5rd Avenue.
