<br />City of Ramsey <br />Active Community Planning Proposal <br />Deadline: June 1, 2007 <br /> <br />COST PROPOSAL <br /> <br />Ramsey proposes that both initiatives outlined in this proposal will be successfully implemented with $67,750.00, <br /> <br />evenly divided among the Comprehensive Plan update and the Mississippi River small area plan. A detailed <br /> <br />budget proposal spreadsheet is attached. <br /> <br />Staff Salaries <br /> <br />Approximately 10% of the Associate. Planner and 5% of the Park Supervisor time within the next year will be <br /> <br />dedicated to writing and distributing an RFP for the Mississippi River Corridor study, conducting and facilitating <br /> <br />meetings with the consultants, and managing the Comprehensive Planning process. <br /> <br />Contractual Services' <br /> <br />The City has selected DSU/Bonestroo to conduct the 2008 comprehensive planning process. The agreement with <br /> <br />DSU/Bonestroo will be amended to include a requirement to incorporate the proposed work plan for this initiative <br /> <br />into their scope of services. It is anticipated that the update to the parks and trail chapter, the transit/multi-modal <br /> <br />portion of the transportation section, and the land use chapter described herein, will take approximately 275 hours <br /> <br />of consultant time. This is based on proposals we received from consultants to conduct the overall update of the <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />The City is proposing to hire a consultant to conduct the Mississippi River Trail Corridor small area planning <br /> <br />process. The cost of these services is estimated to be $35,000. In past small area planning efforts, the City has <br /> <br />expended $35,000 to conduct a similar detailed land use, transportation, and environmental analyses. <br /> <br />Travel <br /> <br />No travel will be required, beyond the metropolitan region. <br /> <br />Equipment and Software <br /> <br />No additional equipment or software will be needed. <br /> <br />-218- <br /> <br />Page 11 of16 <br />
