Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended that the City Council approve preliminary plat <br />contingent upon compliance with the City Staff Review Letter dated May 30, 2003, the developer <br />revising the preliminary plat to provide for the development of 4 townhouse units instead of 6 <br />units, and the townhouse units gaining access from the private street located withkn the <br />development. <br /> <br />As stated in the Alpine Acres preliminary plat case reviewed by the City C~uncil prior to this <br />case, the developer paid the applicable fee to request that the Planning Commission hold a <br />special meeting to discuss the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres. The Planning Commission <br />scheduled a special meeting for May 20, 2003 and due to a lack of quorum, the Planning <br />Commission was unable to take official action on the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres. Therefore <br />the developer is requesting that the City Council waive the 14 day time frame requirement to <br />allow the City Council to review the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres at their June 10, 2003 <br />meeting. Since Alpine Acres 2nd Addition serves as the entrance point to the proposed Alpine <br />Acres subdivision it would seem appropriate to review the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres and <br />Alpine Acres 2nd Addition during the same City Council meeting. Therefore the developer is <br />requesting that the City Council waive the 14 day time frame requirement in order to for the City <br />Council to be able to review the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres 2nd Addition at their June 10, <br />2003 meeting. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution # waiving the 14 day time frame requirement between the <br />Planning Commission public hear(ri, g and City Council review. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution # approving the preliminary plat contingent upon <br />compliance with City Staff Review Letter dated May 30, 2003, revising the preliminary plat to <br />provide for the development of four townhouse units, all of which shall gain 'access from the <br />private street located within the plat. <br /> <br />-or- <br /> <br />Motion to deny the proposed preliminary plat. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Community Development Director <br />Principal Planner <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />CC 06/10/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
