! ! PROPOSED ORDINANCE #03- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE. ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.11.02 "ACCESSORY USES" OF cHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. REPEAL The following text in Section 9.11.02 is hereby repealed: Subdivision 5.a: The height of detached accessory buildings shall not exceed tWenty-two (22) feet on property outside of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area. Subdivision 5.b: The height of detached accessory buildings shall not exceed sixteen (16) feet on property inside of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area. Subdivision 7: No Accessory building shall be located nearer the front lot line than the principal building on that lot (this provision shall not apply to attached garages that maintain compliance with the front yard setback). Subdivision 9: The accessory building shall be attached to and shall be made Structurally a part of the principal building if it is within five (5) feet cave to cave of the principal building. , Subdivision 1 I. When detached accessory buildings are located within ten (1) feet of the Side or rear wall of the principal.'buil'ding, they shall' comply with all yard requirements applicable to the principal building in that district. A detached accessory building shall comply with the side yard setback requirement of the principal building, or conform to adjacent setbacks, whichever is greater. SECTION 2. AMENDMENT Subdivision 5.a.shall be amended to read as follows: The height of detached accessory buildings shall not exceed twenty-two (22) feet on parcels 2.5 acres (10'8,900 Square feet) or greater in size. Subdivision 5.b shall be amended to read as follows:. The height of detached aCcessorY buildings shall not exceed sixteen (16) feet on parcels less than. 2.5 acres (108,900 Square feet) in size. -2o5-
